Kamala, Poison Pill

Joe Biden obviously needs to go.  Some have proposed that impeachment proceedings be initiated.  Being a blithering idiot, or an arrogant fool does not seem to rise to the definition of high crimes and misdemeanors as required by impeachment.  For the Afghanistan debacle, Biden has a lot of people to hide behind.  The excuses and defense are already being crafted by his minders.

That takes us to the 25th Amendment that could likely be applied without much resistance.  The 25th both leaves us with Kamala as President and probably requires Kamala to participate in the group that decide to apply the 25th.

Does anyone want Kamala to be President, not counting herself?  She is the poison pill defense that makes us pause.  Impeachment and the 25th all lead to Kamala.  Thinking about Kamala brings forth a collective, nationwide cringe.  It leaves us looking seriously at struggling along with Biden.  Three more years seems like an awful price for the people of this country to pay.  Things will get worse.  Runaway inflation, loss of friends and status in the world, the rise of China, the fall of Taiwan, etc.  It is difficult to see any light at this time.

Biden #1

Joe Biden is the karma train coming into the station. Or he is the nadir of 'be careful what you wish for.' For decades he has wished to be president. He ran in the primaries over and over to repeated early failure. And finally he has his wish through a peculiar set of circumstances. But he is such a mess. Be careful what you wish for as you may not be capable of supporting your dreams. The karma train has dumped Biden at the Ignominy Station.

Words and Phrases I'm Sick of Seeing #1 Consensus

Definition of consensus (credit to Miriam Webster)

1ageneral agreement UNANIMITY
bthe judgment arrived at by most of those concerned
2group solidarity in sentiment and belief

I cringe when I see the word consensus used in reference to science.  "A consensus of scientists . . . ."  The findings of science are not the product of a caucus vote of scientists.  The findings of science are determined by repeatedly testing hypotheses.  Scientists may have opinions about what the result of tests will be.  They might be biased in their approach to testing.  That's why the best findings are those tested by a wide swath of scientists.  A scientist's opinion is subservient to testing.  Scientists, to be credible, must show their work.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where most scientists are beholden to outside funding.  The outside funding is often controlled by persons, corporations or governments that are invested in science supporting a particular narrative.  This has lead to a corruption of science.  If scientists want to be funded there is much pressure on them to produce a result that conforms to the narrative.

Before you believe in a popular meme that you think is supported by "a consensus of scientists," look again, look critically at the strings attached to those scientists.  Follow the money before you follow the meme.
